Sunday, September 30th. We had a quiet day, getting the motorhome
ready to re-locate to our next campground up in Cloverdale, CA, on the Russian
River. To help celebrate my 66th
birthday a day early, Laren and Teena invited us over for a fondue dinner. Cheese fondue with all the fixings and a
chocolate fondue to top off the evening.
What a thoughtful gesture! We
thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and probably ate far too many strawberries, bananas,
and pound cake with that chocolate fondue!
Monday, October 1. Happy 66th Birthday to me! Yippee, and I’m retired to boot! And I have a highway named after my birthday
this year, and we may just do some traveling on it later on this month or
next. Lynette and I did some more prep
work for our departure tomorrow morning, and then headed over to Laren and
Teena’s place mid-afternoon. We’d made
plans to take them out to dinner as part of our “Thank you” for their wonderful
hospitality during our visit to the Sacramento area. Laren suggested a restaurant in nearby
Roseville called the Claim Jumper.
Excellent choice, Bro, for our last dinner together during this
visit. We said our goodbyes to Teena
(who was off to a business meeting), took Laren home (where we said another
goodbye), and headed back to our TT Ponderosa RV campground. All in all, we had
a wonderfully great time on this break from our RV adventure. Thanks ever so much, Laren and Teena – we
look forward to next year!
Happy Birthday to me!
