Saturday, 6 October.
Quiet day, today. Slept in late, spent the morning just being plain
lazy. Then we decided to drive over to
Ukiah (about 30 minutes away) and take in the new Liam Neeson movie, Taken 2 (sequel to the first Taken movie). Good action flick, BTW. Laim is quite the hero in the two films. After
the movie we drove back into Cloverdale to try out the “world famous” Hamburger
Ranch and Bar-B-Que. We’ve heard good
things about this place ever since we arrived in this area…and man, were they
ever right. Great food, good-tasting
BBQ. I had the two-meat combo of pulled
pork and brisket – excellent BBQ flavor.
All the meats are slow-cooked in their wood fire BBQ oven…the old style
way. Glad we decided to try our luck at
this local restaurant – always fun. Be
sure to stop in and try some of this outstanding BBQ!
